New Favorite: Squalane Oil

Updated: Dec 16, 2020

I'm 36... slowly getting to 37, and whenever I say that out loud, I almost always get confusing looks from strangers asking what's my secret:

Lots of sleep, hydrate, and a virgin sacrifice 1x a month....

OK, not the last part, but Squalane Oil is basically like the same thing. It's my secret weapon that I'm now sharing with you all.

Our bodies naturally produce Squalene oil, but after hitting a certain age, it significantly drops (as with our face/neck skin and boobs). C'est La Vie, right? Anyhow, SqualAne oil is a derivative of SqualEne oil and it's honestly the best moisturizer I've ever used. I only use this now for my face - no need for anything else, except for sunscreen because you should always wear sunscreen. It mimics the sebum your face naturally produces so it's good for all skin types: oily, dry, combo, OH MY!

I apply 6 drops on my face morning and night. In the morning I apply 3 drops on my face, let it soak in, and then mix my sunscreen with 3 additional drops and spread that allover my face as well - then lay on my makeup. This has been a serious game-changer and I honestly and truly believe in this product. I'm not sponsored or anything - though, I wish I was, then I wouldn't have to continuously purchase it.

I buy the 2oz bottle with dropper and it lasts me a good long while. Then when I'm done, I re-purpose the bottle to make my own essential oils. This next batch will be a Citronella Essential Oil because my plant outside is going nuts.
